JOB OPPORTUNITY
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for Education Development, Pakistan (AKU-IED, P) in partnership with the School Education Department (SED) GB is implementing the Gilgit Baltistan Education Strategy Implementation Academy (GBESIA) project for professional development of teachers and teacher educators in Gilgit Baltistan (GB).

Through a Consortium led by AKU with LUMS, KSU and Knowledge Platform, a grant has been awarded by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) for the professional development of public sector education institutions in GB.

AKU-IED, P, SED GB invites applications from candidates residing domiciled of the specified Districts for the following positions on contract basis for a period of one year, extendable on satisfactory performance up to 30th June 2026.

APPLICATION CRITERIA

1. Candidates for secondary schools: Preference will be given to those having 16 years of education (BSc/MSc in relevant subject) and experience in teaching at the secondary level.
2. Candidates for middle and primary schools: Preference will be given to those having 14 years of education (Associate Degree/BA/BSc in relevant subject) and experience in teaching at the middle/primary level.
3. Positions under College and Special Education shall be filled based on district domicile. No TA/DA shall be admissible for the purpose of test/interview.
4. For all positions related to Science, the subject of Chemistry (Bio, Physics, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology) will be considered for middle and secondary school levels.
5. Positions are open to candidates having GB domicile education (preferably FSc) who are residing in or near primary schools in the event areas.

NOTE:

1. Only for Primary Schools in the event areas.
2. Incomplete applications will be rejected, submissions after the deadline will not be considered.
3. Interested and only shortlisted candidates may appear for the interview along with original documents (primarily valid the IUCN Office, Konodas, Gilgit, along with the original documents (primarily valid the IUCN Office, Konodas, Gilgit).
4. No TA/DA shall be admissible for the purpose of appearing in the test/interview/teaching demonstration. No TA/DA shall be admissible for this purpose.
