We are currently seeking dynamic and result-oriented professionals to join the management cadre for one of our prestigious client M/s State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan.
The position is offered on a Three (03) years contract, extendable upon satisfactory performance. Successful candidates will be based in Karachi, working in a high-impact environment that values performance, integrity, and innovation.
Job Purpose
To manage the client's Finance Division portfolio by developing and implementing effective accounting strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance with Digital Financial Services with the organization's overall financial goals. To conduct through analysis of budget versus actual financial performance. Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial reports, including balance sheet, profit and loss statement and cash flow statement. Lead and mentor the finance team to ensure high performance and professional development
Key Responsibilities
The selected incumbent shall directly report to Divisional Head (F&A)/CFO
- Implementation of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Accounting Standards (IAS)
- Preparation of Accounts in accordance with Insurance laws
- Consolidation of Accounts
- Liaison with SECP, Statuary Auditors and Government Auditors etc.
- Managing the process of financial planning, forecasting and budgets
- Knowledge of Company Act, 2017 and Insurance Ordinance 2000
- Filing of Income Tax and Sales Tax Returns
- Handling of Income Tax, Sales Tax and Service Tax matters etc.
- Compliance with taxation laws
- Liaison with tax authorities, consultants and lawyers etc.
- Filing of withholding tax returns
Qualification & Experience
- Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA/FCA) with at least Two (02) years post qualification experience, preferably in Insurance Sector
- Or
- FCMA/FCCA with at least Five (05) years post qualification experience, preferably in Insurance Sector
Age
The candidate should preferably be not more than 45 years of age.
