Admission Policy
1. General Instructions
1.1 Admission to the various degree program as and when offered including First Professional
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree program / 4 years BS degree programs is
made according to the policy and the rules framed by the university. The rules of admission
described below are subject to modification by the statutory bodies of the university as and
when considered necessary.
1.2 In case a candidate provides incorrect information and/or false certificates / documents
detected at any stage after admission his/her admission shall be cancelled.
1.3 A candidate suffering from any life threatening contagious disease is not eligible for
admission. If detected at any stage, his/her admission shall be cancelled.
1.4 An applicant registered with any other University /Institution / College, if selected at
Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Sakrand, shall be
admitted only after his / her cancellation of registration / admission in other academic
institution. Any proof of dual admission shall result in cancellation of admission at Shaheed
Benazir Bhutto University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Sakrand.
1.5 An applicant previously admitted at any other University /Institution but rusticated /
debarred before applying for admission at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University of
Veterinary and Animal Sciences Sakrand shall not be considered for admission at this
university.
1.6 An applicant convicted of moral turpitude shall not be considered for admission.
1.7 The hostel accommodation shall only be provided subject to the availability of space.
1.8 The meritorious students may be considered for financial assistance. However, the
continuity of this assistance shall depend on their semester wise academic performance.
Following regulations will apply to candidates seeking admissions to 1st Prof. D.V.M.
Eligibility
1.1 Minimum requirement of admission shall be Intermediate Science (Pre-Medical) with at
least Grade "C" or second class with at least 50% marks or an equivalent qualification
(recognized by this University), however the candidates with intermediate/or equivalent in
last three years of the admissions may be considered. This condition applies to all merit,
self-finance as well as reserved seats and specified quotas. Rural/Urban quota shall
however strictly be observed.
1.2 All candidates are required to appear in pre-admission test conducted by the university.
1.3 Both sexes (male & female) are eligible to apply.
1.4 Admission of Sindh-domiciled candidates shall be made according to district quota on
urban: rural ratio of 20:80. Urban areas in each district will be confined to Municipalities /
Corporations as determined by the revenue department and the rest of the areas will be
considered as rural. However seats falling vacant either from rural or urban quota shall be
filled within district.
1.5 Vacant seats from the quota of any one or more districts of a division shall be filled on
overall merit basis at Division Level and if remain vacant then will be filled at Sindh
Province level.
1.6 In case of marks being equal between two or more candidates, selection will be made on
the basis of marks obtained in science subjects.
1.7 All the candidates must produce marks certificates of S.S.C. Part-II, H.S.C. Part-II or
equivalent certificate and other required documents in original at the time of registration
which will be returned back after one year.
1.8 After verification of the record, in case of any forgery / manipulation of documents, the
authorities of the university shall have the right to reject any candidate for admission.
1.9 Prospectus and admission forms shall be provided to the candidates on payment of
prescribed fee through the branches of bank specified in the advertisement.
