CAREER OPPORTUNITY AS COMPANY SECRETARY

Power Information Technology Company (PITC) serves as an arm of the Government to provide IT based customer care facilitating through IT solutions and support to Power Sector Entities (DISCOS, GENCOS, and NTDC). The company is in continuous pursuit of ensuring the efficacy of IT solutions & support on Project Governance, Infrastructure Establishment i.e. wide area network, local area network of Power Sector. The company is looking for the services of a high caliber Professional to be part of its team as Company Secretary.

COMPANY SECRETARY

a. Job Profile

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Company Secretary (CS) will be primarily responsible for ensuring the Company's compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements. The CS will serve as the key advisor to the Board on governance matters, oversee the organization's statutory obligations, and facilitate effective Board and shareholder processes. The Company Secretary will also be responsible for implementing best governance practices in alignment with the applicable laws and regulations.

b. Academic Qualification

1. A member of a recognized body of professional accountants; OR
2. A member of a recognized body of corporate or chartered secretaries; OR
3. A person holding a Master's degree in Business or Finance or Commerce, or Law from an HEC-recognized university

C. Experience

1. A retired government servant in BPS-18 or equivalent or above with at least fifteen (15) years of service.
2. At least five (5) years working as the Full Time Company Secretary of a government or private sector organization.

d. Knowledge & Special Skills

1. Thorough knowledge of Companies Act, SECP regulations, and other relevant corporate laws and rules applicable to state-owned enterprises along with excellent understanding of corporate secretarial practices, statutory compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
2. Expertise in drafting Board agendas, resolutions, minutes, statutory reports, and disclosures.
3. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
4. Ability to handle complex tasks under tight deadlines with attention to detail.

e. Tenure, Age & Salary Package

Position is based at Lahore, however incumbent may be required to serve anywhere in Pakistan. It will be a contract appointment for three years term, extendable on requirement and performance.
The maximum age limit is up to 45 years on closing date of advertisement. The position carries competitive and attractive market based remunerations.
