The Provisions

SITUATION VACANT

Applications are invited from the candidates belonging to Civil District falling in the territorial jurisdiction of Pakistan Railways, Lahore Division to fill up the under-mentioned vacancies on contract basis for a period of two Years extendable for further period of one Year subject to satisfactory performance, the successful candidates will have to undergo prescribed training if they are declared FIT in their prescribed class by the Divisional Medical Officer, Pakistan Railways, Lahore.

AGE LIMIT

1. 18-25 years + 05 Years general relaxation
2. (a) In case of Ex-Service Man, the upper age limit relax able to the extent of service rendered by him in the Armed Forces or 15 years whichever is less.
3. The age of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Casts / Buddhist Community is relaxed by 03 years in addition to item No. 1 above.
4. The age of Government Servants and Contract employees who have completed 02 Years continuous government service on the closing date for receipt of applications is relaxed for 10 years in addition to item No. 1 above.
5. The age of son of deceased civil servant who died during service is relaxed for 05 Years in addition to item No. 1 above.
6. Preference will be given to experienced candidates.

DOMICILE:

Candidates belonging to the following districts can apply:
Lahore, Okara, Sahiwal (Chak 52/5L, Tehsil & District Sahiwal), Kasur, Pak Pattan (Village Chak 40SP, 14SP & 15SP Tehsil & District Pak Pattan), Gujranwala, Gujrat (Deonia Mandial, Jalalpur Jattan & Tanda Pind Tehsil & District Gujrat), Qila Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Hafizabad, Chiniot (Lalan, Chenab Nagar) Jhang, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Sialkot & Narowal.

RECRUITMENT QUOTA:

The recruitment will be subjected to the following quota without any relaxation in minimum academic qualification as well as age:

1. Open Merit 60%
2. Son of Railway employee either in service/retired or deceased (18+02) 20%
3. Ex-Service Man 10%
4. Orphans (other than Railways) 05%
5. Minority 05%

NOTE

In case of Railway employee's son, the Father/Mother of the candidate has to submit an affidavit that none of his children is appointed against the Railway Quota other than this child.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

• Only short-listed candidates will be called for Skill Test and Interview after the scrutiny of educational certificates.
• Note: Lawful proceedings will be initiated against those applicants who will submit fake certificates and those who will testify/verify them.

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION & DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

1. The following documents must be attached with the typed application, verified photo copy of Educational Qualification certificate in case of Middle. Head of Institute/School must verify it and in case of Matric/FA attested Degree will be required.
2. National Identity Card.
3. Domicile.
4. Character Certificate.
5. Three passport size photographs.
6. Relationship certificate (in case of Son of Railway Employee).
7. Each envelope must contain only 1 application. On the envelope, mobile number/phone number, complete home address, category to be applied must be mentioned. 02 applications cannot be entertained, if present in envelope.
8. No application will be received by hand. The envelope must have the stamp of post office. The applications not bearing the stamp of Post Office/TCS will be rejected.
9. Complete typed application with all relevant particulars and must send through “REGISTERED POST” and addressed to the “DIVISIONAL SUPERINTENDENT, PAKISTAN RAILWAYS, LAHORE, DIVISION BOGY ROAD, LAHORE so as to reach this office latest by 20.01.2026. Category and quota in which applicant wants to apply should be mentioned on top of the application and envelope. No previous application, if any, will be entertained.

Any application addressed to other than Divisional Superintendent Office Lahore will not be entertained. Incomplete application will not be entertained. Government Servant including Railway Servants should submit their applications through proper channel.
No traveling allowance or other expenses will be paid to the candidates called for Interview. The successful candidates are required to pass the prescribed Medical test by the Railway Doctors i.e. Divisional Medical Officer, LHR and prescribed training if any.
A candidate who has married or entered into the contract of married with the person who is not a citizen of Pakistan may at the discretion of the Government be rendered ineligible for appointment to the post.
Call letter will be issued to eligible candidates including date, time and place for Interview/Skill Test as per recruitment policy rules. The competent authority may increase/decrease the vacancies according to requirement.
The competent authority has the right to reject any application/applications without assigning any reason under the rules. This advertisement is also available on Pakistan Railways website
