VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT FINANCE DIRECTOR
The Medical Teaching Institution, Mardan (MTI Mardan) invites job applications from suitable candidates for appointment as FINANCE DIRECTOR. This is a challenging position requiring high impact individual. Reporting to the Hospital Director, the position is on 3 years' contract basis with eligibility for re-appointment, based on performance and as prescribed in the MTI Regulations.
Requisite Qualification and Experience:
- Chartered accountant, member of Institute of Chartered Accountants with at-least Five (05) years post qualification experience in finance and/or accounts in a major private or public company/institution. OR
- ICMAP certification, member of Institute of Cost & Management Accountants with at-least Eight (08) years post qualification experience in finance and/or accounts in a major private or public company/institution. OR
- A master's degree in finance or accounts, with at least Eight (08) years post qualification experience in finance and/or accounts in a major private or public company/institution.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate, supervise, and manage all accounting and financial reporting functions of Hospital and Medical and Dental Colleges, ensuring timely periodical reporting.
- Implementing and managing financial systems and internal controls.
- Improve, and design where necessary, new control mechanisms not only for financial management and reporting of the institution but also for all operations across the organization.
- Leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and periodical reporting and ensuring all accounts are kept in accordance with approved rules and regulations.
- Advise Hospital and Medical Directors and the Dean on all financial matters, ensuring transparency and fiscal probity.
- Assist in the development of the Medical College/school and Hospital budgets by the Dean and the Hospital and Medical Directors, respectively, ensuring that the financial projections and financial accounts are accurate.
- Prepare an Annual Financial Report for approval of the Hospital and Medical Directors and the Dean, and present the approved annual financial report to the Board.
- Managing Cash flows and treasury operations.
- Providing strategic financial advice and insights to the management committee and the board.
- Overseeing the finance and accounts team and their development.
- Ensuring compliance with international accounting standards (IFRS), tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Building and maintaining relationships with banks, government health department, internal and external auditors.
- Ensure facilitation of any external audit of the accounts instituted by the Board or Government and implement the recommendations of the audit.

TERMS & CONDITIONS:
- The service of the incumbent will be governed under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Medical Teaching Institution Act, 2015 (as amended) and the MTI Regulations.
- In case of appointment, the candidate will become a full-time institutional employee and will have to submit accepted resignation from employment with his/her current employer, local or foreign, including, civil service of any Government.
- Candidate will be disqualified/terminated if found committing any perjury in his/her documentation/credentials at any stage.
- Candidates should be eligible in all respect by the last date of receipt of the application.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for test/interview.
- Any Attempt to approach or influence the selection committee will automatically disqualify the applicant, the decision of the selection committee will be final, subject to approval by the Board of Governors. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for Test/interview. After a final decision is made, no correspondence regarding the process will be entertained.
