MODE OF EXAMINATION
PHYSICAL ENDURANCE TEST:
Candidates who qualify the physical endurance tests shall be called for written examination. The physical endurance tests for the post of Assistant Sub-Inspector shall be conducted by a team of three members, two from the Police Department to be nominated by the Police Department and one from the Public Service Commission.

WRITTEN EXAMINATION:
Candidates who qualify the physical endurance tests shall be called for written examination. The written examination for the post of Assistant Sub-Inspector shall be eligible to appear in the written examination to be conducted by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission. The written examination will be conducted by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission.

PSYCHOLOGICAL TEST:
Candidates who qualify the written examination shall be called by the Public Service Commission for Psychological Test to be conducted by Psychologist of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission. The result of the psychological test shall be announced by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission.
VIVA VOCE EXAMINATION:
Candidates who qualify the psychological test shall be called by the Public Service Commission for Viva Voce examination. The candidates shall appear before the interview panel at the time of viva voce examination.
Failure in or absence from the Viva Voce Examination shall disqualify the candidate. The merit list for the post of Assistant Sub-Inspector shall be prepared by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission on the basis of marks obtained in written test & viva voce. If the total marks of any of the two candidates are equal, the candidate having higher marks in viva voce test shall be placed higher on merit. If the marks in viva voce are also equal, the candidate having higher marks in written test shall be placed higher on merit list. Candidates recommended by the PSC for appointment shall undergo medical examination to be conducted by Director Health Services Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Date of announcement of medical examination shall be intimated by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission.

(x). The number of vacancies may be increased or decreased by the Commission.
