To be eligible, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: A PhD from a university or institution recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

- At least 20 years of experience in teaching, research, or administration.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Full Professor in an HEC-recognized university or an equivalent rank in a national/international Research and Development organization.
- Skills: Demonstrated experience in teaching, research, administration, and fund management.
- Leadership: Previous experience in a leadership role (e.g., Chairman, Principal, Director of an institute/center, or Dean).
- Age Limit: Must not be more than 65 years old on the last date of application submission.
