The Aga Khan Education Service, Pakistan (AKES, Pakistan), an institution of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), provides educational access to over 61,000 students through 156 schools and 6 hostels across Pakistan. AKES, Pakistan-Education Office, Gilgit-Baltistan, invites applications from eligible and interested candidates to fill the following positions:
Manager Academics AKES, Pakistan Education Office Gilgit-Baltistan
The Manager Academics will be responsible for maintaining and improving academic quality by focusing on school improvement, academic development, professional development, student assessment, and the monitoring and evaluation of AKES, P schools. She/he will provide professional and academic support to RSDUs and schools. She/he will be responsible for preparing short-term and long-term plans for academic and professional development in collaboration with the General Manager and will also maintain close coordination with other agencies providing educational support, governmental and non-governmental organizations, volunteers, and community representatives.
The ideal candidate must have a Master's degree in any subject and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. The individual should possess strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with proficiency in MS Office. The position requires extensive travel within the GB region.
Principal-Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Gilgit-Baltistan
The Principal of the Aga Khan Higher Secondary School will be responsible for providing leadership, developing goals and objectives for the school, and preparing strategies and programmes to achieve these goals. She/he will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of education in the institution as well as for developing an open and conducive learning environment.
The ideal candidate must hold at least a Master's degree and have a minimum of 10 years of teaching/educational management experience at an institution of good repute. The individual should have effective communication, classroom management, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, and proven experience of working with parents and the community is desirable.
